For better readability, the following General Terms and Conditions dispense with gender-neutral differentiation. All personal designations apply equally to all genders.
OSTRICH Eventagentur GmbH, legal form: limited liability company, company registration number: FN 608335K, VAT number: ATU 79787189, Annagasse 6/1/II, 1010 Vienna, is authorized to conduct the business of organizing events, markets, and fairs (event management) and exhibition design.
OSTRICH operates the Johann Strauss Museum (hereinafter referred to as the MUSEUM).
The MUSEUM is located at Friedrichstraße 7, 1010 Vienna. It is a permanent exhibition “Johann Strauss Museum – New Dimensions.” The MUSEUM is accessible to people with disabilities. By purchasing goods and/or tickets on-site or ordering goods and/or tickets in the webshop, you accept these General Terms and Conditions. By entering the premises, you accept these General Terms and Conditions and the house rules.
Tickets – Purchase & Booking:
Tickets can be purchased on-site, subject to availability, with payment made by cash or credit card. Online tickets can be purchased in the webshop, subject to availability. For online bookings in the webshop, payment is made by debit or credit card. When purchasing tickets through intermediaries, payment can be made by cash, debit or credit card, or bank transfer. Each ticket only becomes valid upon full payment by the end customer. The prices quoted are gross prices, including statutory VAT and all other charges and fees. Providing the credit card number and the expiration date authorizes OSTRICH to charge the total order amount to the credit card upon booking confirmation, even without the original signature. For webshop purchases, print your ticket or present it at the counter on your mobile phone.
Tickets for the exhibition entitle the holder to a one-time entry. Once you enter the exhibition, you cannot exit and re-enter. If you need to leave the exhibition due to an emergency, please notify a staff member.
OSTRICH is not liable for incorrect or undisclosed information provided by intermediaries. Entry authorizations must not be misused, copied, or altered.
There are 2 types of tickets:
- Timeslot Tickets: With this ticket type, you can enter within a 15-minute window on the date you selected. For example, if you have a ticket for 1:00 PM, you can enter between 1:00 PM and 1:15 PM. If you arrive late, you will be granted access at the next available time slot.
- Flex-Tickets:
- Weekday (from Monday to Friday; flexible redemption within opening hours)
- Everyday (from Monday to Sunday & Holidays; flexible redemption within opening hours)
Tickets are not personalized and can be transferred to another person. Make sure to forward the booking confirmation E-Mail.
Exchange / Return / Cancellation of Tickets / Event Cancellation, Changes / Refunds:
As the organizer provides a service related to leisure activities at a specific time or period in accordance with these terms and conditions, the right of withdrawal in distance selling according to §11 FAGG is excluded pursuant to §18 Abs. 1 Z 10 FAGG. Therefore, withdrawal from the purchase contract is not possible. The date and time of the visit, as well as the number of tickets, must be checked for accuracy before purchase, especially for online bookings. Replacement for unused tickets is excluded, as is replacement for lost tickets. Each ticket order is binding and obligates the purchaser to accept and pay for the ordered tickets.
Refunds are not possible. Changes to the date or time can be made up to 48 hours before the start of the experience, subject to availability. In such cases, please contact us with your ticket ID.
If you purchased through an intermediary, their change and cancellation policies apply.
Data Protection:
The customer acknowledges that the data provided electronically by him/her will be processed electronically by OSTRICH for the purpose of initiating and processing the contract. The customer also agrees to the transfer of this data within the legal framework and restrictions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (DSG) to affiliated companies (parent and/or subsidiary companies) of OSTRICH. The customer is informed that this consent can be revoked at any time.
The customer is informed that photos may be taken at the event location and may be published for documentation and/or promotional purposes of the event. In the case of image and sound recordings by the organizer or authorized third parties, the customer acknowledges and agrees that any recordings made of him/her may be used without compensation and without restriction.
House Rules, Jurisdiction, Law:
Every customer accepts the house rules of the event location with the purchase of their ticket. The house rules of the Johann Strauss Museum are posted at the entrance. The museum staff is free to expel persons who violate the house rules from the museum. In this case, ticket costs will not be refunded. The court of jurisdiction for proceedings against corporate customers and/or private customers from abroad is the competent court in Vienna; for domestic private customers, their local and competent court. Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict of law rules.
General:
A fee is charged for the storage of coats. Valuables that are in or on a deposited garment, a bag handed over, or other items are not covered by the storage contract. No liability is assumed for clothing and other items left at the coat check, unless the damage was caused intentionally or through gross negligence by OSTRICH.
Instructions:
Instructions from event and security staff, whether communicated via loudspeaker or personally, must be followed immediately and without question. Disregarding instructions may result in expulsion from the event venue. In this case, there is no entitlement to a ticket refund.
